Other Entrepreneurial Organizations

The following groups and organizations are excellent avenues for entrepreneurs to network and learn from others in their field.

Entrepreneur America

Providing start-ups and established businesses with mentoring services. EA works with high technology startups whose proprietary technology provides a significant barrier to competition, and with later stage companies that have made significant contributions to their strategic positioning and growth.

The Entrepreneur Network

A source for information, contacts and counsel to inventors and entrepreneurs (pre-startup through early stage) with a bias toward grass-root, "Just do it!" strategies.

Entrepreneurs' Organization

Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO) - for entrepreneurs only - is a membership organization designed to help business owners from around the world on their path to greater business and personal fulfillment.

Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation

The Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation works with partners to encourage entrepreneurship across America and improve the education of children and youth. The Foundation focuses its operations and grant-making on two areas: entrepreneurship and education

Global Entrepreneurship Monitor

The Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) research program is an annual assessment of the national level of entrepreneurial activity. The research program, based on a harmonized assessment of the level of national entrepreneurial activity for all participating countries, involves exploration of the role of entrepreneurship in national economic growth. Over 120 scholars and researchers are actively participating in the GEM project.

The Indus Entrepreneurs

TiE (Talent, Ideas and Enterprise), a not-for-profit global network of entrepreneurs and professionals, signifies the ethnic South Asian or Indus roots of the founders. It is an open and inclusive organization with more than 40 chapters in nine countries. TiE endeavors to cultivate and nurture the ecosystems of entrepreneurship and free-market economies everywhere.

International Council for Small Business

ICSB serves as an umbrella organization integrating the activities of organizations and professionals who deal directly with small business. ICSB distributes new information on small business management and entrepreneurial development from government, education, and commerce sources.

National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship

NFTE's mission is to teach entrepreneurship to low-income young people, ages 11 through 18, so they can become economically productive members of society by improving their academic, business, technology and life skills.

SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives)

SCORE "Counselors to America's Small Business" is a nonprofit association dedicated to entrepreneur education and the success of small business nationwide. More than 10,000 volunteer counselors provide individual counseling and business workshops for aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners.

Springboard Enterprises

A national not-for-profit organization dedicated to accelerating women's access to the equity markets. Springboard educates, showcases and supports entrepreneurs as they seek capital and grow their companies.

United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship

This group's mission is to advance knowledge and foster business development through entrepreneurship education and research.

Women Entrepreneurs in Science & Technology

WEST is a community for women trained in science and engineering dedicated to discover, explore, and pursue their professional passions and dreams.
